Cub Scouts Pack 27

San Mateo

Welcome to Cub Scouting

Cub Scouting is the program by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) developed specially for boys and girls entering the K through 5th grades

The goals of the program are to help kids build character, learn about good citizenship, and develop personal fitness through fun activities. Boys and girls who go through the scouting program develop leadership skills through community service and by giving goodwill toward others. Over the years, Scouts have continued on to become well-known US presidents, astronauts, professional athletes, actors, journalists, and philanthropists among other occupations, all of which contribute positively to the world we live in.

Regular Pack 27 meetings are held during the school year at 6pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the Congregational Church of Belmont

Be part of the fun!

Parent involvement is critical to Scouts being the best experience it can be for our children and families. When parents are involved, kids learn leadership and feel a sense of community amongst the pack. Don't just be a spectator in the pack, get involved and be part of the fun!

Pack 27 dens

In Cub Scouts, packs are made up of smaller groups of kids called "dens".  The dens represent various levels or ranks within the Cub Scout program. In our Cub Scouts pack we have the following dens represented for each rank within our pack. Dens are made up of Scouts who are in the same grade level (whenever possible). Sometimes, dens are combined if there aren't enough kids to make up a den.

Scouting values

The Cub Scout motto is simply, "do your best" and the Cub Scouting 12 Core Values are outlined below. Being a part of Cub Scouts is more than just doing activities such as camping, hiking, and learning survival skills. It's about cultivating future leaders, being a good citizen of the community, and teaching kids pride in being the best they can be as individuals and as a team.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about Scouting or Pack 27. You can write to us directly at: and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
